Caring Beyond the Call of Duty

Sent on the behalf of James S. McHone, M.D., COL, USA (Ret) To My Fellow Surgeons and West Point Sports Medicine Physicians: I was very honored as I am sure you were to receive the recent email from John A. Feagin, MD., COL, USA (Ret), outlining his selection for induction into the Army Sports Hall of Fame in recognition of his work as the Army Team Physician and founder of the Army Sports Medicine Fellowship. In reviewing my records, I found the original program from the 2004 meeting to dedicate the fellowship held at Arden House and Kimsey Athletic Center. I thought you would be interested in seeing this program and additional program history since then (click on one of the links below for a custom built web page with this program’s history). It is very gracious of Dr Feagin to thank all of us for our work and support of Army Sports Medicine and to credit us for carrying his sports medicine torch which he feels led to this honor for him. Unfortunately, my health precludes me from attending the ceremony but I hope many of you can attend (sign up NLT September 22, 2014). James S.
