NCEA Fund Drive December 2011 Update

Giving Wall Update as of 12/31/11

Dear Classmates:

Happy New Year! Thank all of you who have so generously given your time, energy, and monies in support of our Class’ Legacy, the National Conference on Ethics in America (NCEA), especially in 2011. This month we welcome several new donors to the Giving Wall. A shout out to: Carl Linke (C-1), Pat McGoldrick (G-1)  Fred White (B-2), Ken Clow & Wayne Pembrook (C-2), Wally Kaine (F-2), John Colaciccio (C-4), Gary Wimberly & Jeff Woythal (E-4), Jim Lovelace (H-4), Jim Valliere (I-4)  Mr. Paul Napier (friend of Cl ’70), Mr. Hajima Johnson (friend of Cl ‘70)

By the numbers, here’s a look at where we stand:
  • ·       we are 19 months into our campaign. 32% of the time we have to raise our goal is elapsed.
  • ·       297 of 707 surviving classmates (42%) have thus far participated. That’s 410 classmates who have yet to contribute and that we need financial support from in the coming months.
  • ·       the above 297 contributed/pledged approximately $935,000 collectively. I have no doubt that some will dig deeper and give even more in the coming months and years.

With AT&T’s pledge of almost $400K, we are 64% of the way to our Class’ commitment to USMA and the Nation to raise $4.1M to fund the NCEA’s Endowment. Again, we need the 58% of our classmates who are sitting on the sidelines to engage. The NCEA makes a difference. It deserves our complete support as a class. Go to the website. Read the attendees’ letters in tribute to the NCEA. Make it a priority for you in these coming weeks and months. This is your chance to effect sea change in the next generation. Help make the ethical behavior of our leaders a priority once again. Pledge $1970/year through Dec 2015? Or perhaps $19.70/month until 12/31/15? Whatever you can do to help is appreciated. We want your name on the Wall…we need you name on the Wall.

All contributions to the NCEA are 100% deductible. Upon receipt, AOG will issue you a letter for your tax records. For most, this is an easy way for you to get the government to help fund up to ½ the donation. Will your company (if you are still working) match? If yes, we can help you with that paperwork as well.

Finally, be sure to look over the Giving Wall and the Regimental and Company stats this month. Kudos to our Class leaders: F-2 has contributed over $174k, and D-3 has 67% of their Company mate’s names on the Giving Wall.

SWI,

Gil Pritchard
