Giving Wall Update as of 11/30/11

Dear Classmates:

First, I trust we will Beat Navy this weekend. I hope to see many of you there.

Second, thank all of you who have so generously given your time, energy, and monies in support of our Class’ Legacy, the NCEA. This month we are pleased to welcome several new donors to the Giving Wall. A shout out to:

     Fritz Hausman (D-1),
Mitch Green (B-2), Joe Alexander (C-2), Rick Gass (E-2), Frank Hurff (F-2),
     John Adams (D-3),
Chip Lauckhardt (B-4), and John Gallogly (F-4)

By the numbers, here’s a look at where we stand:

….we are 18 months into our campaign. 30% of the time we have to raise our goal is elapsed.

….278 of 707 surviving classmates (38%) have thus far participated. That’s 429 classmates we need the support of as we go forward in the coming months.

….the above 278 have contributed/pledged approximately $900,000 collectively. I have no doubt that some will dig deeper and give even more in the coming months and years.

….with AT&Ts pledge, we are only 41% of the way to our Class’ commitment to USMA and the Nation to raise an additional $3.1M to fund the NCEA’s Endowment. Again, we need the 62% of the class that’s still sitting on the sidelines to engage.

The NCEA makes a difference. It deserves our complete support as a class. Make it a priority for you in these coming weeks and months. This is our chance to effect change in the next generation. We can help make the ethical behavior of our leaders a priority once again.  Can you help with $1970/yr through Dec 2015? Or perhaps $19.70/month til 12/15?
We want your name on the Wall…we need you name on the Wall.

As we near year end and some of you are looking for tax deductions, remember that any contributions to the NCEA are 100% deductible. Upon receipt of your year-end donation, AOG will issue you a letter for your tax records. For most, this is an easy way for you to get the government to help fund up to ½ the donation.

Will your company (if you are still working) match? If yes, we can help you with that paperwork as well.

Finally, be sure to look over the Giving Wall and the Regimental and Company stats this month. Kudos to our Class leaders: F-2 has contributed over $174k, and F-4 has 63% of their Company mate’s names on the Giving Wall.

Happy Holidays to you and your families.

SWI,

Gil Pritchard
