James Kee sends -
After checking with Bruce Nolte, I made arrangements for a dinner following Bill Vogt’s funeral, for companymates, classmates, and friends. Bruce has discussed this with Kathi Vogt and she is fine with it, but will not be able to attend. She will be with family and church friends after the funeral.
The dinner will be at Key Bridge Marriot (1401 Lee highway, Arlington, 22209), at the first floor Revival Restaurant.
Key Bridge Marriot is close to Arlington Cemetery and easy to find (on Lee Highway Rt 29-westbound lane –Right next to Key Bridge and exit 73 off I-66 from either North or South –when travelling from South-turn left at N. Nash street into their parking lot.)
The restaurant is not normally open at that time –but they will open it only for us (reasonable separate charge – I will collect)
We can have separate checks and order from the entire menu – parking is validated for first 2 hrs - after that $7 for 3rd and $3 more for 4th.
They suggest cocktails at about 4:00 and we have dinner at 4:30 -4:45 (they are familiar with Arlington and they said people would be there after service in less than an hour –since outside service, with no Church ceremony). Know this is early dinner – but anybody travelling can then get on the road afterwards by 6:30 or 7:00 –just after rush hour completes!
Please let me know if you plan to attend (can change later – but need to give restaurant an approximate headcount)- please e-mail Jim at kee_jim@bah.com or call his cell at 703-216-1683.
