From Dr. Mearsheimer - Latest Ukraine Issue

From Dr. Mearsheimer j-mearsheimer@uchicago.edu Folks, I have a piece that just came out on the Ukraine crisis in Foreign Affairs. I have attached a copy in case anyone is interested. It should generate a lot of controversy, as it cuts against the conventional wisdom in Washington. Also, in mid-June, Chatham House and the New York Times sponsored a big debate in London on the Ukraine issue. Roger Cohen of the NY Times editorial page moderated and the participants included me, Michael McFaul (the former US ambassador to Moscow), Dmitry Trenin (a top Russian strategist), and Chrystia Freedland (an MP from Canada).
