Army Scholarship Fund

Fellow Classmates,
Memorial Day is a day for remembering and honoring military personnel who have died in the service of their country, particularly those who died in battle or as a result of wounds sustained in battle.  This marks a special day when all of us should reflect on the sacrifices and service of these brave men and women who have served our great nation, particularly those who have made the supreme sacrifice on behalf of all of us and our Nation.  This day also presents an important opportunity for us to express our thanks for their service and to honor and note the special places they have in the hearts of all American citizens.

Please take a moment on this special occasion to thank those who have served, and especially to think about our fallen classmates and members of the Long Gray Line, and our fallen class son, Lieutenant Scott Love.  This is an ideal time to consider making a donation to the Army Scholarship Foundation in Scott's memory to help sustain his scholarship for years to come.  Please visitwww.ArmyScholarshipFoundation.org or send a check to the Foundation at 11700 Preston Road, Suite 660-301, Dallas, TX 75230.

Thank you,
Jeff Gault gaultrj@prodigy.net

Larry Henderson

From Classmate Tommy Maertens -

Hello,

I really hate doing this but we are all military folks so, this is just to give you a "heads up" on the situation with our dear friend, classmate, and my Happy Daze brother, Larry Henderson.  Based on the medical situation I have received from Larry's family...his time to "grip hands though it be from the shadows" is fast approaching; sadly.

I would hope that when the time comes, we can gather as proud members of the Class of 1970 to honor Larry and celebrate his life.  I know his family would really appreciate being with you during the services.

Obviously at the appropriate time, details will follow and I will insure that you are made aware of them just as soon as I can.

If you know of other classmates in your area who may want to participate, please pass this along. Satch...would you please contact Bill Green; thanks.

Serve with Integrity,
Tommy
